May 18, 2014: By the time I got to my hotel (about an hour’s drive from Frankfurt….and it was a drive that made me very happy I’d hired the car service, and not rented my own car!), I ate (hotel restaurant: excellent) and went to bed.
The next morning I was to meet another instructor at 9:00 a.m., and class was to start at 10. One of the reasons I picked my hotel was because it is within walking distance of SAP, and has a shuttle (in case it rains!). Also, boss John told me that if I stayed in Walldorf, I’d walk though a sunflower field on my way to work. Sold.
The sunflowers aren’t up yet,but I can see where they will be. The walk is still beautiful.
Leaving the hotel at about 8:30 a.m.
The town of Walldorf is across the highway from the hotel and down a bit, but there’ a great view on the walk. It looks like one of the paths from SAP leads directly into town…I’ll be checking that out tomorrow.
There is a path from the hotel parking lot directly to the SAP campus. Once I got closer to the campus, the signs even helpfully point to the exact building I needed
Poppies!!
I literally stopped to smell the roses….and they were even yellow.
More views on my walk….
And then, suddenly: SAP. I couldn’t get a picture of the entire campus; it’s huge. And apparently there are two more campuses, also huge, within about 10 miles.
